FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Are you licensed?

Yes, I’m a licensed esthetician in the state of Colorado. You must be licensed as an esthetician or cosmetologist to legally offer any makeup services in Colorado.

Do you offer makeup services for events other than weddings?

Absolutely! I get asked this all the time and my response always is “I do a little bit of everything.” I offer makeup applications at my studio in Cherry Creek for just about anything: Headshots, Boudoir, Fitness Competitions, date nights, galas, just to name a few.

Do I need to provide or bring anything?

Nope! Just your pretty, clean face. I come with a fully stocked makeup kit, a chair and lighting so you don’t have to worry about a thing.

What makeup brands do you use?

I use a wide range of high-end brands including Nars, Laura Mercier, Hourglass, Rare Beauty, Makeup by Mario, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Charlotte Tilbury, Makeup Forever, Tarte, Mac and many more.

Do you offer airbrush makeup?

Unfortunately, I do not offer airbrush makeup at this time.

What are the benefits of hiring a professional makeup artist?

I think having your makeup (and hair) done for your wedding or any other occasion definitely takes away some stress because it’s one less thing you have to worry about. It gives you a chance to relax, get pampered and just do something special for yourself that you don’t get to do on a daily basis. As a professional, I also know what products to use so your makeup lasts all day, looks good in photos, and what will best compliment your skin tone and facial features.

How do I book my wedding with you?

My booking process is very simple. Send me an inquiry on my contact page and I will send over my brochure that includes a customized quote with a pricing breakdown, travel fees, hotel accommodations, etc. If you decide you want to move forward with the booking process, I will send you a quick questionnaire to learn more about your wedding. Once the questionnaire is filled out and submitted back to me, I will send over a proposal with my contract and deposit information. When the contract is signed and retainer is paid, that’s it! You’re on my calendar!

When should I book you for my wedding?

You can never book too early! I always recommend booking your dream makeup artist and hair stylist (or any other vendors for that matter) as soon as they open their books for the year. I book some weddings over a year in advance, so the sooner you can secure your date, the better.

Can I do a trial before I book you?

We can absolutely do a trial first! However, your wedding date is not secured in my calendar without a signed contract and paid retainer. My business is run on a first come, first serve basis, so I always suggest booking your trial as soon as possible so your date doesn’t get booked.

Do I have to do a trial to book my wedding with you?

You do not have to do a trial with me, but I always strongly encourage it! Doing a trial run allows us to plan out and create the perfect makeup look for your big day. You will also be able to wear it throughout the day and make sure we don’t need to tweak anything on the wedding day. Doing a trial also allows me to meet and get to know you so we’re not complete strangers on the day of the wedding!

How far out should I schedule my trial?

I typically do most of my trials during the off-season (December-April) to allow for more flexibility and availability for my clients. If your wedding is in the later months of the year or if you’re coming from out of town, we can schedule the trial closer to the wedding but just know my schedule becomes more limited once wedding season starts.

Do you have hairstylists that you reccommend and prefer working with?

Of course! I send a full list of all my favorite hair gals after you officially book me!

What if my bridal party needs to move locations?

I do prefer staying at one location, but if you are wanting to start makeup at one place and finish at another, I charge a relocation fee starting at $100 depending on the distance between locations. Packing everything up, moving locations, and then unpacking again takes much more time than one may think, so just keep that in mind!

Are you able to stay at the wedding for touchups?

I am available to stay for touchups if requested and included in the contract beforehand. I charge $150 an hour for touchups.
